About Me and Counselling in Maidenhead

I am a qualified counsellor in Maidenhead Berkshire. I offer counselling sessions to individuals or couples and will provide you with a safe and confidential environment in which to support you. I am a compassionate, non judgemental, skilled listener and I feel very passionate about counselling as I have witnessed the benefits that it can bring.

Prior to training as a counsellor, I enjoyed a successful career in the military and worked in occupational welfare, gaining a huge amount of experience of working with individuals and families experiencing difficulties including depression, anxiety, separation and bereavement to name just a few. You can read further about my military experience here .

I have worked with a diverse range of people of all ages and backgrounds both in paid and voluntary roles and I currently work as a volunteer counsellor for a community counselling service. I am registered with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and adhere to their Ethical Framework for Good Practice. I receive regular clinical supervision as required by the BACP. I am also committed to my ongoing professional development and undertake regular training courses.

As a person centred counsellor, I believe that you are the expert on your own life therefore counselling sessions will be led by you and what you want to talk about. No issue is too big or too small and I will not judge you whatever your situation.
